The genesis of our shop starts during the pandemic when my previously employed differently abled nephew Jake found himself unemployed and stuck at home. We were hoping for a reasonable resolution for this and when none came we made the bold decision to open a new business from scratch. It took a year to find a location, build out and get our occupancy permit. It took no time at all to find a lovely group of people wanting to work. We got started, made accommodations, trained for new skill sets, learned a lot about food service, working with the public and how to run a cash register. We have had help along the way with job coaches and several groups of highly skilled students from Poolesville High School who developed a "make change" app for the staff to run the register with.  We have encountered a few "bumps in the road" and have tried to be flexible in making corrections and learning from those mistakes. We look forward to being your favorite ice cream shop and being a safe place to bring friends and family.
